A convite do bodysurfer Mauricio Jordan Coelho e dono da marca de nadadeiras LEBLONFINS, a SOBRASA (Szpilman, Fabio Braga e Luiz Morizot (Dunga) acompanharam este grupo de guerreiros das águas no dia 13 de Agosto em um aventura na Laje A Besta, na entrada da Baia de Guanabara.

Maurício, nosso hostess nesta aventura relata “The happy LeblonFins bodysurfing Team after todays historic adventure: charge the Beast of Guanabara Bay, a 20 feet off shore wave that imposes fear and respect on the most brave and experienced big riders.This is the most unpredictable and heavy wave of the Brazilian coast and has never before been challenged by bodysurfers.

Besides the challenge to charge this bestial wave, there is also a so astonishing current that named the city Rio de Janeiro. It’s a interesting history: when the Portuguese found the entrance to the Guanabara Bay for the first time, in a month of January centuries ago, the current generated by the ebb tide was so impressive that they took it by a river and named the city, Rio de Janeiro (river of January).
